Cody is a handsome dog who has earned his HR title in UKC hunt tests and is a very versatile working retriever. He had a late start in gun dog training, coming formerly from a service dog training home, but once started on birds and training, he loved it and we loved training him for it! Cody is the kind of dog that everyone wants to be around. He is always ready to retrieve and hunt, with a big stylish water entry, but he is awesome in the house, with kids, new people, and other dogs. One of Cody's favorite things is to ride in the truck up to the coffee shop.
He has a different pedigree than many of our dogs, carrying both show and field breeding, so will throw a well built, solid dog, but one who still has the drive, go, and athleticism. Cody's pups are super nice dogs to train, handle, and live with, plus they are gorgeous dogs.
Exceptional temperament, loves to just hang out with you. He has a great many of the things that contribute to a great stud dog: brains, trainability, drive, and personality.
Update: May 25, 2016 - Cody has returned to his original breeder, in Colorado, where he will have a great retirement siring a few litters, enjoying home life, and picking up the birds in the fall. Thanks for some awesome times and pups Cody, we'll miss you!
