Trinity Oak Labs is a medium sized kennel located in the heart of Amish country - rural Topeka, Indiana. We began raising Labrador Retrievers eight years ago in 2001, and strive to produce puppies that will carry the retrieving desire, athletic ability, beauty, and love of people that drew us to this wonderful breed. Our goal as a kennel is to honor and glorify God in all we do by honest dealings and quality of breeding stock, puppies, and living environment.
We thoroughly enjoy our Labradors and spend many hours a day training, cleaning kennels, exercising, feeding, etc. Our dogs live in spacious kennels, with the ability to be inside their kennel box or outside, getting some sun throughout the day. They are also exercised twice a day in our turn-out area which includes a small pond for them to play in. You can see some pictures of that area below. We often go on walks with our Labs, as well as visiting various parks/playgrounds; socializing them with other people as well as taking them over the different "obstacles" which is especially important to bomb, drug, and cadaver dogs in training.
We are members of UKC's Hunting Retriever Club, or the HRC as it is commonly known. Affiliated with HRC is the Ohio Hunting Retriever Club which we joined as well and appreciate their club and their friendly, very knowledgeable members. If you enjoy hunting, the HRC is a great way to do that ALL year round, plus make you a better dog trainer and your dog the kind of retriever that you can be proud of. There are six children in our family who's ages range from 4 to 19 years old. When you call, you will most likely speak to Abby who is the second oldest of the children and answers most of the calls and emails. Or you might talk to Char(Mom). Whoever you speak to, we are dedicated to answering your questions and will do our best to assist you in every way possible.
To introduce you to a couple other animals that we have on the farm other than our labs, we have a border collie/sheltie mix girl named Holly. Holly considers herself our #1 mascot and enjoys making sure everybody is in check around the place.(: We also have a couple ponies which help "babysit" the children in the summer. A barn cat is also onsite which helps Holly keep any mice in check.
